Ancestry documents the West Turkana Paleo Project organized by the National Museums of Kenya under the direction of Dr. Fredrick Kyalo Manthi. The project collaborates with the University of Arkansas (Dr. Mike Plavcan) and University of Missouri (Dr. Carol Ward). The Video Ethnography Laboratory of Louisiana State University has been documenting its practices and discoveries.
All fossils are found at particular sites. This location, once simply a possibility–and viewed as dangerous–was finally explored in 2015.
