On 19th September 2019 the journey towards Kenya’s first National Art Gallery begun, The National Museums of Kenya proposes to establish a National Art Gallery of Kenya that would create a public space for Kenyans and other nationalities to learn and appreciate the historical development of art in Kenya and East Africa. The project will be sponsored by the Government of Kenya. We look to engage as many artists and stakeholders in this legacy project that aims to place art in Kenya on the world map right here at home
