Resource Centre

A Resource Centre collects and organizes materials that are useful to its target audience in this case the Staff, Museum Board of Governors and affiliates of the National Museums of Kenya. In addition to the aforementioned, the role of NMK’s Resource Centre is to preserve, disseminate and improve access to appropriate, relevant and timely information in support of the institution’s aims and objectives. A Resource Centre differs from a regular library in its additional focus on multimedia resources and information technology.

NMK’s Resource Centre is made up of 2 sections namely the library and archives. These sections hold essential resources for research, exhibition development and educational programmes among others purposes.
